Allium Lamp

Named for its distinctive onion-shaped inner layer, the Allium Lamp highlights designer Christopher Merchant’s mastery as a materiality-based fabricator and our studio’s innovative approach to 3D-printing technology. Its layered form is intentionally engineered to reveal the inner structure when viewed from select angles: the inner surface is printed with a more matte finish, while the outer shell is tuned to be subtly transparent.

This precise calibration of print settings allows light to move through the two layers in a soft, dimensional way, creating a gentle glow that shifts as you walk around the piece. Sculptural, modern, and meticulously crafted, the Allium Lamp blends material experimentation with contemporary design, making it a standout accent for any interior.
