Allium Pendant Light — 3D Printed Plug-In Pendant with Layered Glow
It plugs in. That's the practical case for this pendant over most of the category — no electrician, no ceiling box, no landlord conversation. An extra-long cord and two brass swags come with it, so you hang the swags where you want the light and drape the cord to the nearest outlet.
That flexibility changes where a pendant can go. Over a reading corner, beside a bed where a table lamp would take up surface, above a dining nook that has no ceiling wiring, or over a desk. Renters get a pendant light without touching the electrical; homeowners get one without paying to run a circuit.
The shade is where the design work sits. Two printed layers: an inner shell in a rounded, layered form with a matte finish, and an outer shell tuned to be subtly translucent. Light moving through both registers the inner shape as a silhouette within the outer surface — visible from some angles, hidden from others, appearing and receding as you move beneath it or past it. That's a result of how the print settings were calibrated for each layer, not a property of the shape alone.

HOW TO STYLE IT
Swag mounting means you control the drape, which is a styling decision rather than just an installation detail. A single swag gives you a straight drop; two lets you angle the cord across a ceiling to reach an outlet on a different wall, and the diagonal run reads as intentional rather than makeshift when the cord is taut and the swags are evenly placed.
Over a bedside table it frees the surface entirely — no lamp base competing with a book and a glass of water. Over a reading chair, hang it slightly forward and to one side rather than directly overhead, so the light falls across a page instead of onto the crown of your head. Over a dining nook, keep the bottom of the shade roughly 30 to 36 inches above the table.
The angle-dependent inner form registers most when people move underneath it, which makes seating areas and walkways better placements than a static corner.
