Both sizes are substantial. At 22.4 inches tall on an 11.4 inch square footprint, the large is floor-standing territory — beside a hearth, at a doorway, at the end of a porch. The 18.1 inch on a 9.5 inch base works on a console, a sideboard, or a wide step.

A sturdy handle at the top carries both weight and function: lift it, move it, or hang it. Candles are not included.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Dust with a soft dry cloth
• Do not use water or wet cleaning on the wood frame — moisture causes swelling and finish damage
• Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners, which will strip the pearl silver finish
• Bring indoors during rain and store under cover in wet seasons
• Remove candle residue while the lantern is cool

• Use flameless LED candles wherever possible — wood is combustible and a flame inside a wooden frame carries more risk than one inside metal

• Place on a stable, level surface clear of foot traffic

HOW TO STYLE IT

The large size is floor furniture. Set it beside a fireplace, at the base of a staircase, or flanking a front door where its height reads at standing eye level. The small suits surfaces — a console, a sideboard, a wide windowsill, or a step.

Wood pairs naturally with what's already outdoors: stone, timber decking, terracotta, and planting. Indoors it works against warm neutrals, linen, and natural fiber rugs. It's a poorer fit for high-contrast modern interiors where the metal lanterns land better.

For events, the pale finish photographs well in daylight, which most dark lanterns don't. A pair at an entrance or either side of an aisle gives you structure without needing florals.

Use LED candles. Wood and open flame are a worse combination than metal and open flame, and the convenience isn't worth the difference.
