Not a shrunken copy. Both the inner and outer profiles are drawn differently from the full-size version, so the proportions work at this scale rather than reading as a scale model of something bigger.

The layered construction carries over. An inner shell in a rounded, onion-like form sits inside a subtly translucent outer shade, and light passing through both registers the inner shape as a silhouette that appears and recedes depending on where you're standing. At reduced size the two layers sit closer together, which makes the effect tighter and more concentrated than the original's.

The small footprint is the practical argument. It fits a crowded nightstand, a bookshelf between rows, a desk corner, or a windowsill — placements where a full-size sculptural lamp simply doesn't go.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Dust with a soft dry cloth or low-pressure air duster, working around the layered shells
• Do not use water, solvents, or chemical cleaners on the printed material
• Avoid abrasive cloths, which can scuff the matte inner finish
• Keep away from heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight
• Unplug and let the bulb cool fully before cleaning
• Handle by the base rather than the shade when repositioning

HOW TO STYLE IT

The layered effect reads best from close range at this size, so put it where people sit near it — a bedside, a desk, a side table beside a chair — rather than across a room.

On a shelf it fits between rows without needing dedicated space, and the glow spills forward across whatever sits in front of it. On a windowsill it works after dark against the black of the glass, which gives the translucent outer shell a strong backdrop.

Give it a plain surface and a plain wall behind. The inner form is subtle enough that a busy background erases it.

Running it alongside the full-size Allium works better in separate rooms than in one sightline — the redrawn profiles mean they aren't quite a matched set, and side by side that reads as inconsistency rather than variation.
